NOTTINGHAM BUILDING SOCIETY

  • Project: Upper Parliament Street Branch Refurbishment and Interior Design
  • Client: Nottingham Building Society
  • Size: 550sqm
  • Status: Completed

“This was the first time we had used S+SA Architects Ltd and all our expectations were exceeded. A good partnership relationship was quickly established. The finished project has become our flagship branch which the company is extremely proud of and the team at S+SA Architects played an important part in making that happen”.

Alison Williams MRICS – Head of Professional Services (Project Co-ordinator)

Interior layout design commission for the flagship branch of a blue chip provider of Financial and Estate Agency services, rationalizing the previous unsatisfactory spatial arrangement and establishing a new corporate identity for rollout to further branches within the client’s property portfolio.

The commission brief required the design for an entirely new internal layout for an existing Building Society and Estate Agency branch in Nottingham. In addition to addressing the perceived spatial and operational inadequacies of the existing layout, including accessibility issues, the new design was to deliver an aspirational and modern interior, facilitating new presentational, sales and marketing approaches prior to their potential rollout across other premises.

The completed design proved hugely successful with the client incorporating aspects initially included within this scheme in a number of later premises refurbishments.

The relationship developed through this project continues, as the team responsible for its design and delivery are still with S+SA Architects Limited and are now engaged on a number of further branch refurbishment commissions.
