This is reflected in our local business and charity links with Disability Action Yorkshire, Harrogate Borough Council Employers Forum and Think Harrogate. We also enjoy exhibiting at the annual local schools and University Careers fairs.

S+SA’s sustainability policy is at the core of the Practice’s DNA; we believe buildings should enhance the environment and reflect an awareness of people and place. We subscribe to the latest Building Research Establishment (BRE) software to assess environmental performance of the structures we design. We aim to achieve the highest BREEAM ratings wherever feasible.
Sustainability isn’t just part of our design philosophy, but embedded into a conscience thinking behind the way we undertake our work. From being a paperless office to reducing car usage we are continuously making small changes at every opportunity to contribute towards making a bigger impact.
S+SA invests in the latest software (REVIT and AutoCAD), and is able to evaluate the positive and negative environmental impacts of every planned build by marrying intelligent design to the latest eco-friendly, energy saving materials and building methods.

S+SA are delighted to have achieved ISO 9001 accreditation in 2016. We are immensely proud of our first rate, robust systems which align with the requirements of the RIBA chartered Practice Scheme. Our ISO status allows us to deliver many benefits to our clients to include improved customer satisfaction and loyalty, greater success with frameworks and tenders and preferred contractor status.
During the summer of 2020, we retained our ISO 9001 accreditation, moreover we achieved this with no causes for concern and multiple areas for recognition. We were particularly praised for our ability to continue practice throughout the recent Covid-19 pandemic and for our strong and functional business continuity plan.
"S+SA have been involved with design proposals for the re-development of the Stonebridge Mills site in Wortley, Leeds for some years. Working closely with our client and the Local Authority planning and conservation teams, plans for the site which extends to 3.6 hectares have been granted planning permission and works have now commenced on site".
