The planning consent at Eston included a large format retail store with conjoined retail units, public amenity space, a restaurant and a walk-in care centre.

The planning consent at Eston included a large format retail store with conjoined retail units, public amenity space, a restaurant and a walk-in care centre. The store was designed taking into account ecology and nature conservation, landscaping and visual impact and the cultural heritage of the area.
The high BREEAM rating was achieved by incorporating many environmental initiatives including large roof lights, natural mixed mode ventilation, sun pipes, clerestory glazing, SIPS timber panelling, high performance curtain walling with carefully designed solar shading.
The development was awarded the Redcar and Cleveland Design Award.
